Are you sure of your destiny? Does anyone really care? Would you like to start over? Then a 15-page comic show seeks to answer these questions and guides the viewer through the necessary steps to learn how they can have a personal relationship with God and ascertain their fate.
Cartoon Network producer Wilma Watson left nursing to pursue ways to help people ascertain their fate because she was too sad to see people die without making sure they were going to heaven. This is when the core of the idea began to be formed - a website designed to be easy to search, easy to understand, welcoming, fun to use, non-threatening and relentless in its message. She chose 50 Cartoons for the website because animation is a language that everyone can understand and enjoy.
The cartoon image also contains an idea that can stay in your mind for a longer time. Phil Spratt, cartoonist at http://www.ydyc.org, comments: “As images can stay in our minds, cartoons are said to make people laugh for 5 seconds and think for 5 minutes. Cartoons allow you to engage with a sensitive topic in a way that makes people laugh for 5 seconds and think for 5 minutes. Non-threatening, as the animation is open to interpretation."
Cartoons are universal and break down language and cultural barriers. The site is translated into Japanese, Chinese, Indonesian and Thai. French, German and Spanish languages will be available online soon. People all over the world can now learn how to be sure of their own destiny.
